Swimming Lessons

So, it's September already and currently it's 48 degrees outside. What better time to blog about the swimming lessons from July? Ellie was in Level 2 this year, and the boys started Level 1. They all did great -- Ellie & Alex (not shockingly) are kind of chickens when it comes to the water and Maguire just goes with the flow. But all 3 of them made a lot of progress & it was fun to watch them try new things! The pictures are in super-random order, but for the sake of just getting this blog post done I'm leaving them that way.

Alex, swimming in the big pool with his teacher

The boys, hanging on for dear life

Where Ellie spent the first few days of lessons - sitting on the edge of the pool. But like I said, she eventually got brave & tried her best!

Alex, playing Ring Dive

The boys, listening hard to instructions

Practicing arm movements

Maguire, going down the water slide

Alex on the water slide -- look at that death grip!

Alex, trying to appear inconspicuous while his teacher asks for volunteers to go off the diving board

This is the water slide the boys went down! It's big! Ellie declined. :)

Maguire was the only one of our three who braved the diving board! (The water was 10 feet deep!)
