So Carrie was at a retreat Friday night until Saturday afternoon, leaving Ellie and me to fend for ourselves for part of the weekend. And what better way to spend our time than to make cookies, and then eat a bunch with milk?
They were Halloween cookies we picked up at the store at Ellie's request. So we cooked them up Friday night. Ellie was more interested in eating them raw than baking them...but we had a good time none the less. Ellie and I topped off our weekend alone (ok, maybe like 15 hours, but at times it felt like a whole weekend!) with a couple hours sliding and swinging at the park and a trip to the pizza buffet (Ellie's request, no really it was). So it was a great time...but we were both happy to see Mom walk back in the door Saturday afternoon!
