A Little Bit of Everything

The "pretty" bandit has returned to our house once again, leaving the boys adorned with ribbons and bows. Ellie continues to make the case for bows being totally acceptable headwear for little boys, as long as they are blue. Or in Alex's case, "you just have to pretend his is blue, Mommy!" In other news, Mr. Maguire has his first tooth! It popped up sometime last night while he slept. He is none the worse for wear - -cheery as always, if a little drool-covered.

We took a trip to the zoo last weekend, and had a great time as always. Here's Ellie with her favorite bird, the flamingo. It goes without saying that the flamingo has dibs on favorite bird status because it's pink, right?

Here was Ellie's favorite part of the zoo -- a green screen to stand in front of, and then you could see yourself on TV with all the animals. She had a great time jumping around with fish, monkeys, a tiger, and even a few flamingos.

And here are Ellie's battle scars from the zoo. She took a nasty spill on the sidewalk and scraped up both elbows and knees. Ouch! She was a trooper, and finished the rest of the day at the zoo like a champ.

One last shot -- here's Miss Ellie all dolled up for a trip to where, you ask? The park? Church? Afternoon tea? Nope! She decided all the bejewel-ing (check out the necklace, bracelet, and rings -- my one small victory was talking her out of the tiara) and fancy dress was necessary for a trip to......wait for it......WalMart. Yep, evidently Walmart is the place to show off your finest duds. Who knew.
